Ragdoll Kittens for Sale in Georgia
Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world, which makes Georgia one of the simplest states to get a kitten into and one of the easiest to be delayed in. Both things are true at once, and the way round it is to fly in the morning.
How a kitten gets from Sedona to Georgia
Choose a kitten, call us, and a $400 deposit holds it. A flight nanny carries it in the cabin from Phoenix to Atlanta in about three and a half hours, or to Savannah for the coast. We book morning flights, because Atlanta afternoons in summer are made of thunderstorms.
Atlanta, and Savannah for the coast
Phoenix to Atlanta is about three and a half hours nonstop with service all day, and Hartsfield-Jackson is within two hours of most of the state. Savannah suits the coast and the South Carolina line, and Augusta, Columbus and Macon families generally drive to Atlanta rather than connect. A morning flight leaves room to rebook the same day if the weather over the southeast does what it does on summer afternoons.
Heat and humidity, and what they do to a coat
From June to September Georgia is an indoor-cat state, which suits a Ragdoll. Humidity is the coat problem: mats form behind the ears and under the arms faster here than in a dry climate, so comb twice a week and check those two places with your fingers every time the cat is on your lap. Fleas are a year-round prevention conversation with your vet rather than a seasonal one.
Suburban Georgia and the open door
Georgia yards are green and inviting and full of things that will take a twenty-pound cat that has never had to think about danger. Hawks and coyotes are both common in the metro suburbs. A Ragdoll belongs indoors, or in a screened porch, which most Georgia houses already have.
What the trip actually looks like
Kitten leaves our house in the morning, flight nanny carries it in the cabin, you meet at Atlanta arrivals in the early afternoon, and it is asleep on your sofa by evening. That is the whole thing. We send a photograph as it leaves and a message when it lands.
What it costs, and what is tested
$800 a kitten, every color and sex, with everything on this list. Travel is quoted for your airport and never bundled into the price. Both parents are DNA tested for HCM and PKD, the two inherited conditions the breed is known for. Every kitten leaves vaccinated and wormed for its age with the written record, seen by our vet, microchipped and registered in your name, and litter trained. Everything that travels with it.
Questions from Georgia families
Atlanta delays are famous. What happens if the flight slips?
The nanny stays with the kitten and we stay on the phone with you. A morning departure leaves room to rebook the same day, which is exactly why we book it.
Do you ship Ragdoll kittens to Georgia?
Yes. A flight nanny carries your kitten in the cabin from Phoenix to ATL, about three and a half hours, and hands it to you at the airport. Or you fly to Phoenix, meet your kitten, and carry it home on your return flight.
Which airport should I meet the flight at?
Whichever is the shortest drive from your door. In Georgia that usually means ATL or SAV. Tell us which and the flight is booked to it.
How much is a kitten, and what holds one?
$800, every color and sex. A $400 deposit holds your kitten and comes off the $800. It transfers to another kitten if you change your mind about which one. If you cannot go ahead at all, $300 of it is refunded. Travel is quoted separately for your airport. What the price includes.
Are the parents health tested?
Both parents are DNA tested for HCM and PKD, the two inherited conditions the breed is known for. Our cats.
Can I drive to Arizona instead?
Plenty of families do. From Georgia it is about twenty-six hours by road, and you meet the kitten, meet us, and take it home yourself. Either way nothing is paid for a kitten you have not seen photographed that day.
When can a kitten travel?
From 12 weeks, and never in the same week as a vaccination.
