Ragdoll Kittens for Sale in Ohio

Ohio is one of the easiest states in the country to get a kitten into, because almost everyone here lives within two hours of one of three airports that Phoenix flies to nonstop.

How a kitten gets from Sedona to Ohio

Choose a kitten, call us, and tell us whether Columbus, Cleveland or Cincinnati is your airport. A $400 deposit holds the kitten, and a flight nanny carries it in the cabin from Phoenix, about three and a half hours, to whichever of the three you named.

Columbus, Cleveland or Cincinnati

Columbus covers the middle of the state, Cleveland the north and northeast, Cincinnati the southwest and the northern Kentucky line. All three take nonstop service from Phoenix and all three are about three and a half to three and three-quarter hours in the air. Toledo families usually use Detroit, which is closer than anything in Ohio, and Youngstown splits between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Pick the airport by drive time from your door and tell us which; the flight nanny books to that one.

Two coat changes a year

Ohio gives a Ragdoll a proper four-season year, which means the coat thickens in the fall and drops in the spring. Both changes are manageable with a steel comb twice a week, and daily for a fortnight when the coat actually turns. Humid Ohio summers mat a coat faster than the temperature suggests, so do not let the combing lapse in July because the cat is lying on the tiles looking unbothered.

Winter travel, and why we book nonstop

Lake Erie snow and Great Lakes storms delay connections more than they cancel nonstops. Every kitten we send to Ohio goes on a single nonstop flight for that reason. If a storm is forecast on the day, we move the date rather than gamble on a rebooking with a kitten in a carrier in a terminal.

The Ohio reality on availability

Ohio has a lot of Ragdoll buyers and not nearly enough litters, which is why so many families here end up looking out of state in the first place. Our kittens are in Arizona, they fly in the cabin, and the whole journey from our living room to yours takes a morning.

What it costs, and what is tested

$800 a kitten, every color and sex, with everything on this list. Travel is quoted for your airport and never bundled into the price. Both parents are DNA tested for HCM and PKD, the two inherited conditions the breed is known for. Every kitten leaves vaccinated and wormed for its age with the written record, seen by our vet, microchipped and registered in your name, and litter trained. Everything that travels with it.

Questions from Ohio families

01

Why do so many Ohio families buy out of state?

Because demand here outruns the litters. Ohio searches for Ragdoll kittens more than most states its size, and the wait for a specific color and sex locally is often months. A morning flight solves it.

02

Do you ship Ragdoll kittens to Ohio?

Yes. A flight nanny carries your kitten in the cabin from Phoenix to CMH, about three and a half hours, and hands it to you at the airport. Or you fly to Phoenix, meet your kitten, and carry it home on your return flight.

03

Which airport should I meet the flight at?

Whichever is the shortest drive from your door. In Ohio that usually means CMH, CLE or CVG. Tell us which and the flight is booked to it.

04

How much is a kitten, and what holds one?

$800, every color and sex. A $400 deposit holds your kitten and comes off the $800. It transfers to another kitten if you change your mind about which one. If you cannot go ahead at all, $300 of it is refunded. Travel is quoted separately for your airport. What the price includes.

05

Are the parents health tested?

Both parents are DNA tested for HCM and PKD, the two inherited conditions the breed is known for. Our cats.

06

Can I drive to Arizona instead?

Plenty of families do. From Ohio it is about twenty-six hours by road, and you meet the kitten, meet us, and take it home yourself. Either way nothing is paid for a kitten you have not seen photographed that day.

07

When can a kitten travel?

From 12 weeks, and never in the same week as a vaccination.
