Ragdoll Kittens for Sale in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is a two-airport state with a mountain range in the middle, and which side of it you live on decides everything about the trip.
How a kitten gets from Sedona to Pennsylvania
Choose a kitten, call us, and tell us whether Philadelphia or Pittsburgh is the shorter drive. A $400 deposit holds the kitten, and a flight nanny carries it in the cabin from Phoenix, about four hours, to the one you picked.
Philadelphia or Pittsburgh
Both take nonstop flights from Phoenix. Philadelphia is about four and a quarter hours and serves the east, the Lehigh Valley and the Delaware and New Jersey lines. Pittsburgh is about four hours and serves the west and the Ohio line. Central Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, State College, Scranton, sits between them: compare the drives and pick the shorter. Families in the northeast corner sometimes find Newark easier than either.
Turnpike driving in winter
The flight rarely causes trouble here. The drive home over the Alleghenies in a January storm sometimes does, so we plan for a daylight arrival and a straightforward run home. If the forecast is bad, moving the date by a day costs nothing and is the sensible call with a kitten in the car.
Old houses, dry heat, long winters
A radiator-heated Pennsylvania house in February is dry, and a Ragdoll coat shows it in static and shedding. A humidifier in the sleeping room, water in more than one room, and wet food a few times a week all help. The spring shed is substantial and short: a fortnight of daily combing in April and it is done.
What comes with the kitten
The same wherever it lands: vaccinated and wormed for its age with the written record, seen by our vet, microchipped and registered in your name, litter trained, and raised underfoot in a house with children and a dog. Parents DNA tested for HCM and PKD.
What it costs, and what is tested
$800 a kitten, every color and sex, with everything on this list. Travel is quoted for your airport and never bundled into the price. Both parents are DNA tested for HCM and PKD, the two inherited conditions the breed is known for. Every kitten leaves vaccinated and wormed for its age with the written record, seen by our vet, microchipped and registered in your name, and litter trained. Everything that travels with it.
Questions from Pennsylvania families
I am in central Pennsylvania. Which airport?
Compare the drives from Harrisburg or State College to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and take the shorter one. A few families in the northeast corner find Newark easier than either, and that is fine too.
Do you ship Ragdoll kittens to Pennsylvania?
Yes. A flight nanny carries your kitten in the cabin from Phoenix to PHL, about four and a quarter hours, and hands it to you at the airport. Or you fly to Phoenix, meet your kitten, and carry it home on your return flight.
Which airport should I meet the flight at?
Whichever is the shortest drive from your door. In Pennsylvania that usually means PHL or PIT. Tell us which and the flight is booked to it.
How much is a kitten, and what holds one?
$800, every color and sex. A $400 deposit holds your kitten and comes off the $800. It transfers to another kitten if you change your mind about which one. If you cannot go ahead at all, $300 of it is refunded. Travel is quoted separately for your airport. What the price includes.
Are the parents health tested?
Both parents are DNA tested for HCM and PKD, the two inherited conditions the breed is known for. Our cats.
Can I drive to Arizona instead?
Plenty of families do. From Pennsylvania it is about thirty-two hours by road, and you meet the kitten, meet us, and take it home yourself. Either way nothing is paid for a kitten you have not seen photographed that day.
When can a kitten travel?
From 12 weeks, and never in the same week as a vaccination.
